Most commonly ED is treated with either oral medications like sildenafil or tadalafil (so-called PDE-5 inhibitors). While these may be the most common solutions they are not a good solution for everyone. Sometimes patients do not tolerate the medicine very well leading to side effects. Some patients have health conditions that prevent the use of them in any respect. For patients that oral meds do not work for, they may prefer to use an injectable medicine like trimix. Trimix tends to have less of a side effect profile than the oral meds. A doctor will need to know your health status and health history to determine which treatment route is right for you.
